I am interested in purchasing a condo in Florida; is there anyone that can give me some insight; there are soo many sites out there, I am hoping some fellow webmasters can give me the top ones!

Our budget is 200k => 300k; we don't necessarily need beach front, however, walking distance to the beach is a must. We were looking in Hollywood given its central location; however, we know very little about the terrain.

You'll have no problem finding a beach front condo for that price. In fact, the way the economy is right now, you could find one for half your budget.

Hollywood wouldn't be my first choice though but to each their own.

My advice would be to contact a real estate agent in the city you'd like to buy a condo in and have them E-mail you mls listings of properties in their area that meet your criteria. I do this all the time and find it more helpful and less confusing than searching mls listings on websites. Often times these listings are outdated.

Before you buy: check insurance rates, they might make you adjust your budget. The last few hurricanes did a number on rates
