Seasons Follies

In a departure from my normal stoic approach to the season I'm going all out to be different this year. Life seems to be getting shorter all the time and I'm going to have some fun while I can. So this year I've decided to be an elf... perhaps a slightly evil elf. There's already been one appearance made, and one more scheduled for this weekend. I can tell you one thing for sure, when I dress as an elf, people stare, smile, and sometimes laugh.

The biggest problem that I have being an elf is this: I think I look more like the cowardly lion (The Wizard of Oz) in an elf suit. So already I'm making plans to grow a long and shaggy tail for next year... why fight it?

I've read where HelenDev wants to avoid looking like Les Dawson, and still have a good time. Is that even possible? What sort of plans have you made for this season? Any Santa's in the crowd?

The resemblance is uncanny, I think it's the beard - is it real?

You're quite tall for an elf, maybe you could pass as a jester lion?

Post-Tolkien fantasy elves tend to be beautiful, fair, slender, and close in size to humans (usually taller, sometimes shorter). A hallmark of fantasy elves is also their long and pointed ears.

The beard is mine. While it appears that I miss most of the elf-like qualities mentioned, my height is just fine :)

Still looking for a Santa, or maybe a Rudolph...
