Hey guys,

I've just checked my routers' firewall logs, and it seems over the last few days someone is trying to either break my network, or take me down!

I'm getting WinNuke's from Brasil Telecom, and Sparq Taiwan, according to rDNS, and also Icmp echo storms.

Anything I can do or just wait for them to get bored?

Ask this guy if you can have what he found in the wall [webmasterworld.com ]. Just kidding. ;)

I don't really have a technical opinion on that.

If it's crippling your network, you can try complaining to the proper ISP. Otherwise, it's easier to wait it out.

A whois [networksolutions.com] lookup on the IP address will give better information than a DNS lookup, and will sometimes give an abuse address.

No, to be honest I've not noticed a thing. My own ISP suggested I use the online firewall to prevent the traffic getting to me, but it's no good as it won't allow my VPN in.
