so i searched for new one and i found like tons of gizmos. i choosed this one ,other ones are for next time :)
Coffee boiling pot used by WebmasterWorld users:) [ldcheap.com]
well, i am sure that it is not enough for all the coffee users (even if it fits to mivox's coffee mug [stuff.mivox.com] ) here so i would need better explanation.
Questions:
- what is this? (name of this gizmo)
- what is it used for?
if you have url of this gizmo which also has answer on the page then this is also accepted.
good luck.
black humor aside - answer on both your question is "incorrect".

CIAO is a instrument for imaging faint objects close to much brighter objects. It is a powerful instrument for searching for planets around other stars. CIAO's infrared detector and optics are kept cool within a large vacuum container. CIAO is attached to the Cassegrain Focus of the Subaru Telescope.
I was searching Googles Images, and I found
every other piece of equipment, on that web page
except for the one I was look for.
Congrats Lorax.
The Subaru Telescope is an optical-infrared telescope at the 4,200m summit of Mauna Kea on the island of Hawaii. The Telescope is a new generation telescope not only because of the size of its mirror with an effective aperture of 8.2 meters, but also because of the various revolutionary technologies used to achieve an outstanding observational performance. An active support system that maintains an unprecedentedly high mirror surface accuracy, a new dome design to suppress local atmospheric turbulence, an extremely accurate tracking mechanism using magnetic driving systems, seven observational instruments installed at the four foci, and an auto-exchanger system to use the observational instruments effectively are just some of the unique features associated with this telescope. These sophisticated systems have been utilized and fine-tuned since Subaru Telescope is First Light.
well, i think lorax wins but somebody help me.
ig ign was right with first guess (msg number 8) then he guesses fIRST - with msg number 14 he answered both questions.
but msb 8 is more like question and it is not exaclty "spectographic imaging" and "part of telescope " is not enogh so i belive lorax wins.
if someone thinks my conclusion is not good then please correct me.
i think lorax wins.congratulations!
and i choosed this gizmo becasue i though all other were too hard to guess! next time i will make it harder :)
Since the food option was out, the Stainless Steel, had only a few other application that I could think of: something that required a very clean environment. It was too big to be medical or semiconductor related and I was contemplating a satellite or radio telescope when your post came through.
<added>... and I kept looking over my shoulder knowing you had the right thread to begin with!:)</added>

[subaru.naoj.org...]
check the little people there.
Actually, I suggest that we drop multiple part
questions, where part 2 of any question is a trivial component.
In my early years I was a bit of an amateur astronomer, so this one fascinates me. I found a CIAO telescope image of Uranus [cosmiverse.com] that amazed me. I've never seen Uranus' rings like this before.
I also learned that Uranus is now credited with 20 moons, and number 21 was thought to be discovered, but not verified. Lots of changes since I got my mosquito bites staring through a tube all night.
