so i searched for new one and i found like tons of gizmos. i choosed this one ,other ones are for next time :)

but to make it a little easier, this is not stand alone object, it is "attached" to something,maybe that explains some latches.
i cant say everything too soon.

Is that Subaru the same as the auto maker? Didn't know they did telescopes also.

CIAO is a instrument for imaging faint objects close to much brighter objects. It is a powerful instrument for searching for planets around other stars. CIAO's infrared detector and optics are kept cool within a large vacuum container. CIAO is attached to the Cassegrain Focus of the Subaru Telescope.
I was searching Googles Images, and I found

well, i think lorax wins but somebody help me.
ig ign was right with first guess (msg number 8) then he guesses fIRST - with msg number 14 he answered both questions.
but msb 8 is more like question and it is not exaclty "spectographic imaging" and "part of telescope " is not enogh so i belive lorax wins.
if someone thinks my conclusion is not good then please correct me.

Since the food option was out, the Stainless Steel, had only a few other application that I could think of: something that required a very clean environment. It was too big to be medical or semiconductor related and I was contemplating a satellite or radio telescope when your post came through.

Actually, I suggest that we drop multiple part
questions, where part 2 of any question is a trivial component.
I know it was the base of a telescope but sure coulden't find what one... lol
In my early years I was a bit of an amateur astronomer, so this one fascinates me. I found a CIAO telescope image of Uranus [cosmiverse.com] that amazed me. I've never seen Uranus' rings like this before.
I also learned that Uranus is now credited with 20 moons, and number 21 was thought to be discovered, but not verified. Lots of changes since I got my mosquito bites staring through a tube all night.
