Then when it goes to message, nothing but music.
Someone has spoofed me with my own name and number and then leaves music as the message.
What is up with that? Very strange indeed.

Also I know someone who does an Interactive Voice service and they do mass call outs for people and they can enter a number so that if someone wishes to return the call it doesn't go through his switch.
I will say that it is just as possible that some weird routing issue happened and somehow your line actually did put through a call request to your line. The music you heard could be some "on hold" music.
Do you have "on hold" music?

I've received calls where the Caller ID suggests it's me calling myself. I've never answered the calls because I use a phone management system with whitelisting so unless someone is on my whitelist I don't hear the phone ring and they can't leave a message. I do see the calls in the calls history window. Ever since I installed this system my work has never been interrupted by phone spammers.
