I've seen a huge increase in spam with the Win32/Kryptic.BG Trojan coming through, claiming to be from UPS and describing the inability to deliver a package.

That attachment is the payload.

Obviously, if it gets through, it's nonsense and should be removed from your machine.

I was getting a goodly number of these a month or two ago; not recently. It's just simple and low-key enough to be pretty easy to get people to open if they are expecting a shipment. Don't know anything about the payload, but expect that the penetration from this one has been pretty high.

It only took a couple of these before I added "UPS Mail Support" (and related filters) to the SPAM filters on my e-mail server.

I don't use UPS and I use a Hotmail account for online shopping, so I don't need to worry about any legit messages from UPS.

I was expecting a UPS delivery a month or so back and got one of those emails for the first time.I so very nearly clicked itbut just stopped at the last minute. If you are expecting, and waitng for that parcel, it's so easy to lay caution to the side in expectation. Bar stewards the lot of theose spammers.
