Business Week's 25 Most Influential People on the Web 2008 [images.businessweek.com]
Each year, we turn to readers and BusinessWeek staff for the Best of the Web list, asking them to contribute names for a list of the Internet's movers and shakers.

Do you agree with those names? I certainly agree with a good number of them, however, there are some others on the list I was surprised to see there.

It's typical lazy journalism - they haven't really researched the individuals, they've made a list of of 25 'key' companies / websites, then found the name associated with it.

Several of those folk created great sites - good on them - but their 'influence' as individuals is negligable.

It's the kind of list that arises over coffee on a quiet news day.

And hey, I didn't make it!

BTW, are we to assume that it's in descending order? Or are they unsorted? Or ascending order?

Where's Brett on the list?! Although WW may be considered niche, there's no doubt that collectively the people here have contributed as much (if not more) to the Web that some of the people on that list.
