I'm noticing a significant drop in the amount of junk email I'm receiving, my spam box is down by around 1,000 over the last 14 days.

Anyone else noticed this?

Strange, now it's finally disappearing, I feel like I've lost something!

I think I got it accidently. Probably a mistake by the email delivery man. I'll be happy to forward it to you.

I've seen a huge reduction in the last week. I've actually checked my server twice to make sure it wasn't down.

"The community seems to take upon itself the necessary actions to purge these sorts of issues when all other efforts fail."

Cool! It sounds like it's time to organize "Take Back the Internet." Sort of like takebackthenight.org.

Don't know about total spam as I usually let that auto delete but more is getting through my filters and into the inbox. (UK)

Spam has been declining for two to three years. Studies have shown that.

Penny stock spam is probably off 99%. Last year the SEC suspended trading in many junk pennies after spam ad campaigns.

I don't notice any special decline in spam this month. In fact I've noticed that some "reputable" vendors are sending their email advertising far more often than the formerly-standard once a month.

Only spam category that may have increased lately is Nigerian type garbage. And last weekend I won 4 lotteries in a day. Look for more outright scammy email as the world economy deteriorates.

We recently changed hosts and now see less then 10 a day, before there were hundreds. Same email address.
