Hey guys... just bought SpinRite 6 because my OS drive is acting a bit wonky (just slightly more sluggish than usual).

<snip>

Was wondering if anyone here has experience with SpinRite and knows what LEVEL I should run it at? Thanks!

It's been around for a long time, but I don't know anyone who has used it.

Perhaps a better question is "what disk maintenance applications have worked for you?"

In answer to Lawman's question,

IObit Smart Defrag, defrags your hard drive when your PC is idle and optimises data for fast access based on use...keeps your drive nice and tidy, never had a problem with it, but did achieve 0% fragmentation, and that was according to Windows own defrag program.
[iobit.com...]

HDD Health, monitors your hard drive(s) using S.M.A.R.T., your hard drives own internal monitoring software, and over time can predict your hard drives death date, and any possible future failures.

Both are freeware and extremely useful, so help yourself!
