Adverts on BBC UK website

just seen adverts for amazon.com (US Version) on BBC (UK version)

I've just had a couple of adverts fed to me on the bbc (co.uk version) website. I've never seen this before is it a mistake or something more fishy?

The adverts were amazon.com products and were in USD.

indeed, think there may be some spyware on this machine.
