Researchers at the search giant have determined that the web now has a trillion unique pages. There's more about it on their blog [googleblog.blogspot.com].

Recently, even our search engineers stopped in awe about just how big the web is these days -- when our systems that process links on the web to find new content hit a milestone: 1 trillion (as in 1,000,000,000,000) unique URLs on the web at once!

Hard to imagine isn't it

I wonder

- the % that is "unique" in the sense it's new info (not the wording)
- how many include session id's, extra slashes, aff id's.....

sometime in the future there'll be a blog dedicated to how many times i've blinked...
