Interesting story - and even more interesting what's below the story ... a long list of links to these "download mp3 here"-pages, hidden by a javascript. Looks like someone dumped them in there using some exploit. Just in case they were not intended, I just fired a note to the author. Funny, how you always stumble into these things ...

Unofficially, I advise that we erase the records and forget the whole thing.

Probably best for us as well!
So I guess the next time I hear my hamburger talking to me, I won't think I'm crazy...

<puzzled> I am completely missing the point (or even continuity) of this story. Just what exactly is it about? </puzzled>
The most interesting part to me was viewing the source code and noticing how many indents were inserted to the left of each line of the MP3 links. Yep, looks like an exploit, with a few tabs thrown in just in case somebody happens to open the file in a text editor.

Content wise, the header states:
>(From OMNI, April 1991. This story, which was a 1991 Nebula nominee, has been appearing around the internet lately without my name attached. Several people were kind enough to alert me, but the truth is I'm more flattered than offended. )
Wow, now that meat really is recycled!
