Strange, eh? It gets worse. In plain text emails the pound signs were going and in html mails the £ tag is removed as well. So our pound signs are being actively sought out and removed.
The only link in this chain that we don't control is the virus filtering... They are, quite literally, stealing our pound signs. And no one who works in their support department seems to know why...
We want them back with interest. Has anyone else had any problems like this?
Looks as though that vital knowledge will be wasted now if it's all stripped out. :)
Happily I see WebmasterWorld lets me use € and £ as well as $
GBP = Great Britain, Pounds
They use them in Northern Ireland too, you know. Perhaps you have something against Northern Ireland by omiting them from your pounds, and just restricting them to Great Britain.
Why don't you want them to use pounds in Northern Ireland?
As bad, in my opinion, as the Americans stripping out pound signs and leaving dollar sign. Bullying, that's what it is, picking on the little guy, then the little guy finds someone smaller to bully.
