They are putting all kinds of labels on what the man did, but the fact is that he was in a class of journalists all by himself. Few others even dared aspire to his level of performance.

And, he seemed to have fun.

This is a real loss.

He was the master at what he did. Watched him every week. It did not matter who was on, he made it interesting. If I missed it Sunday AM, I watched the webcast.

He was one of the few that you didn't know where he was coming from. He wasn't right or left in politics. He just loved it all and was fair. What a shame. I thought I'd be watching him another 15 years. With Bob Schieffer retiring soon, there won't be any old time fair journalists left.

This is going to leave a huge hole in my Sunday mornings.

Tim was the absolute best journalist in America. You are correct, you could never really tell which side of the fence he was on because he treated everyone fairly, and would not let the guests get away with just repeating talking points.

There is talk of naming a highway in the Buffalo area after him, near the Bills stadium. On the Bills message board there is a push to get him put on the wall with the hall of fame players.

Go Bills!

RIP Tim :-(
