I just inherited a client that has a website hosted on verio.com and their mail when sent to someone at msn.com or hotmail.com, gets kicked back because microsoft has determined that the IP address has had a spammy past, (shared hosting I think).
Anyone have any ideas on how to best handle this?
Sign up for senderid and publish a spf record?
Contact verio and have them resolve it?

Thanks in advance...
Jake

The best way is to follow the instructions in the "kicked back" mail message ... figure out exactly the cause and track it back from there. Another quick check is to see if the IP is on any of the popular block lists (RBL).

Yeah... I received the info from verio for setting up a SPF record, then submitting it to microsoft's senderid program.
Thanks...
