It's been awhile since I've seen a truly outstanding example of contextual ads that only a computer could love.

Found one today, though. Next to a story about research on cell phones and health was this:

"Get the Best Cell Phone Tumors
Our experts will help you get the best cell phone tumors"

Wonder how many clicks that generated.

Well, if I'm going to get a tumor from a cell phone, I guess I'd at least like to have the best one!

I'd probably click on it to see what it was about.

The Environmental Health and Safety Office has seen no credible evidence to date that cell phones cause cancer or brain tumors. It is illogical to believe that evidence of unusual brain tumors is covered up when there are hundred's of millions of people using cell phones worldwide.

And how many voted for Bush ? ;)
Sorry, couldn't resist.

Personally, I refuse to use them. My boss had one issued by the company. It was on the top of the list of bad ones. Put it next to a monitor and the screen would go haywire. Wonder what it does to the brain. I know of many people that use them and get headaches if used for more than 5 minutes.

I prefer to stay naturally dumb and not be fried alive.

Jay Leno was joking about a cell phone protector you keep in your pants pocket. You place your cell phone in it to protect you from radiation.

He said, only a guy would hold a cell phone to his head but be more concerned about radiation protection down there :)

LOL. I sometimes see ads for keyword.

I get that too on one of my sites. Normally it is spelt inside brackets for some reason.

>Cell Phone Tumors

It's quite sad that these ridiculous ads are still appearing. Whoever's managing the advertising on behalf of that advertiser wants firing!

I use to see ones for ebay that were realy bad. Anything you searched for would bring an ad up that said "Find 'keyword' on Ebay"

How do they do that?

I think the behavioral problems more likely stem from having an inattentive mother spending all her time talking on a cell phone instead of parenting...

Or someone needs to re-examine their negative keywords...
