Do I have a virus?

Have I picked up some sort of virus my scanner has not detected? Starting a day or two ago, whenever I enter information into a text box on a web form and press enter or tab, my mouse curser will dissapear and theres a long pause (about 25 seconds) before it appears again.

First thing that came to mind is some background virus is capturing this information, however my scanner has not picked up anything.

Nope, no virus to be found.

Could this be some sort of spyware on my machine?

Or is something on my machine so gunked up that it is causeing this lag in my input boxes?

It means that your "auto-fill" form stuff is corrupt. The only way I was able to fix it on mine was to disable the "auto-fill" in my internet options.
