At least once a week, I need to approve a certain documents sent to me via email, and I

> print, sign and fax OR
> print, sign, scan and email

I am kind of hoping to use email but avoid the printing and scanning part.

Planning to:
convert the doc files to an image, and drag and drop an already scanned signature of mine.

Can you think of a different solution?

We had this problem with a mail order company we deal with. They send us documents by post to be faxed back. It was a PITA filling in and sending faxes all the time.

Now we scan the document, insert the image into MS Word, insert an existing signature (transparent gif so it looks more realistic if it overlaps dotted lines etc). Then I use the free program Primo pdf to print the document as a pdf. For all the recipient knows you could have signed the form and scanned it.

At the MS word stage you can add text boxes to fill in forms etc instead of hand writing so the finished form is clearer and easier to read.

If you already have the documents as doc files this would be the way to go.

Old_Honky, thanks.

I knew I wasn't alone.

I am just going to do just that.
