Hi,

I don't know if this thread belongs here, but I have a question about a LAN. Is it better to plug a printer into the Router, or into the Network Attached Storage (NAS) drive?

Thanks.

For a larger network, all the devices should be directly connected to an Ethernet switch. This gives each device the maximum amount of bandwidth.

But for a small network, if your computer and NAS are plugged directly into the router, then plugging the printer into the router also is best.

Thanks, mcavic. That's what I was planning to do, but just wanted a second opinion.
