Big Snow!

We just got HIT! ...raining for 2 days at my elevation (5700') but snowing big time up high. Its 'ON' out here in Utah ....and SEGuru saw the clouds rolling in in Boulder, CO last night around sunset... people are skiing/boarding in Cali ....so it's officially 'ON 'out here in the West! Happy Winter!

we drove the trucks as far as we could and then went another 5 miles out from there with the dogs. There was maybe 2'-3' everywhere. I imagine if you go up higher, it will eventually go over your head. Someone told me Brighton and Alta just opened. Yeah, pretty good day....my dogs look good too:)

I heard the snow level near seattle is above 5000 feet. This means that the ski resorts are getting snow tonight!

I'm here in South Lake Tahoe and we been getting hammered. I went up to the bottom of Stagecoach lift at Heavenly (7400') and there was about five inches. i hiked to the top of the lift (9400') and there was about 34 inches. The turns were awful but the hike well worth it. Never sunk down more than about two inches so the skis are ok. Then the snow level dropped and we've probably got another two feet since then. Looks like another great year at the 'wood.:)

yeah, we got at least another foot or so last night in the mountains, where I sled.... the rain here turned to snow. Was in a blizzard about 2 hours ago. Trail conditions are great! Went for a 15 miler.

I assume it was the same storm system that hit us in the Bay Area. No snow, just rain and fierce winds so strong they were lifting the water off the streets in visible gusts. It must be beautiful in the mountains. El Nino... a wet (snowy-in-the-mountains) winter...

As a Norwegian, who used to go skiing every day after school, now living in London I just don't want to hear it. I only get to the snow 3 or 4 times these days... It's killing me..... help.... ;)

I agree with edit g lived in the alps for two years now back to London, good bars very poor boarding!
