The story of the wife who was killed rushing to the hospital because of a prank call made to her mentioning her husband has just had an accident and is at a certain hospital.

I am not a fond of practical jokes as it is, but stories like these has reinforced it well.

That's just stupid, and not in the spirit of April fools.

Here are the top 10 tech-related April Fools' jokes to play on friends and co-workers. The best geek pranks make a gadget or a co-worker's computer appear "broken." Watch with glee as the unsuspecting victim goes mental trying to figure it out.

The list was compiled mostly from reader submissions to last year's April Fools' widget.

Remember, jokes are supposed to be funny, so don’t really break anything.

Note, my bold.

Thanks for the emboldened reminder, Dad! Us kids here sure appreciate the warning! :-)

When I was about 9 or 10, I remember reading an article in one of the national newspapers about some character named Sheik Yamani.

As it was April 1st, I was smugly convinced that this article was the newspaper's April Fool's story. To me the play on words - Shake your money - was too obvious.

It took several years before I found out that Sheik Yamani [en.wikipedia.org] was in fact a real person and that whatever the April Fool's story in the newspaper really was, I'd missed it!
