Dear Mr. Joe,

I have read the terms and conditions, and there is no mention of <this> particular issue? How do you handle it?

3 days later ...

Dear Mr. Tom,

Thanks for contacting us. Please read our terms and conditions <linked to the terms page> for further details.

Do you get one of these too?

Oh man it is sooo annoying. You tell them, "I've been through your documentation, searched high and low, and cannot answer **this** question." They point you to back the worthless documentation. Will you do your flippin' job already and READ?

Recent Case #2: Working with Flash CS3, the documentation is generally robust but every now and then gets beyond me. You read it, and at the bottom it says "More information on Live Docs" (link) (Adobe's support pages.)

You follow the link and what do you get?

THE EXACT SAME FILE, word for word, as what's in the help files. AGH!

Case #3, I'm on a roll: Recently I wanted to buy a piece of S.W. only available via download, but being on satellite needed to know how large the download was (long story.) Pay-by incident support only. Emailed sales. No response. Called sales during posted operating hours, got an answering machine, left message. After 4 attempts with their online chat, they tell me the size is 41 MB (all good.)

Downloaded, but it was only 14 MB. Installed a new HD, used the S.W. to clone the drive, got it all working . . . . TODAY (2 days later, a full WEEK after my original email) I receive an email from customer service: "Sorry for the delay. The file size is 41 MB. Thank you for asking."

DOH!

Habtom, are you talking about Google customer support?

GG, it seems many are catching up to it.
