I am trying to do some hex editing, I am changing a value to cheat in the video game Lords of the realm II. I am suppose to do the following with a hex editor. I have to edit the .sav file.

It says:

offset
14B80 to FF
14B81 to FF
14B82 to FF

I am having trouble doing this, the instructions are not clear and when I change it, it doesn't work. I would post a link to the .sav file but that is not allowed.

Anyone have good instructions on how to do this?

I imagine that 14B80 is the byte within the file, and FF is the value (255). Use windows calculator in scientific mode to translate between hex and decimal easily.

You could just play the game though, it will be more fun.

Not sure about that; I've always found hacking the stuff more fun than playing it...
