I been thinking abou this quite a while and have taken quite alot into account when writing this and will explain in my writing.

I been thinking who is the current market leader in internet and computing industry. Not just by search or operating systems but overall. And there are many companies to choose from and examin but utimately it come down to Google versus Microsoft and I am going to say in my opinion Microsoft is winning. Let me back this up.

Google developed excellent an search system , from that they have had tredmendous success in advertising , adsense , some news and purchasing many technologies .However they have not had the the innovation success that i would say microsoft has had .

Microsoft have become market leaders in :
Servers , operating systems , games , microsoft office , internet explorer (which google uses ) and many more .

Google has had limited success with google docs (although 40% (?) of 20 Million gmail subscribes compares nothing to microsofts bases for office ) .

I would give google a chance and say they are still young ( ten years old ) but with a market cap of 200 billion , the figures speak for them selves , they should be 2/5 of microsoft which i doubt they are.

I think google has a long way to go and still primarily and advertsing company . I also think it is over valued . but revenues speak 100's if not 1000's.

just a small opinion , what do you guys think?

I don't know it's that straightforward as they are founded on different user apps, although there is some convergence.

It's how things change over the next decade, and it's how those two adapt to changing markets. They may not converge further.

I prefer chalk to cheese, at least when I'm eating.

And I used to prefer WordPerfect to Word, before M$ knackered it.

I used to prefer Netscape to IE, before M$ knackered it.

I much prefer Google search to M$ search;

I much prefer Adsense to anything M$ thinks it has,

I prefer gmail to Hotmail (who wouldn't?).

We all have our preferences <snip>
