I had to attend a funeral of a colleague/friend of mine on xmas day 3 years back, maybe I have taken it too far, but it just reminds me the person.

I think I need to move on.

So, it was false, hope to make it true in the coming years

xmas deaths always ruin it for years to come. My ex's Nan died at christmas and she was never happy afterwards.

My xmas is pleasant!

It's great if you have kids, and less fun without.

My theory is that Christmas is when it is because we really need something to cheer us up during what, in the northern hemisphere, is the worst time of the year. The weather is miserable, the light is low, levels of depression rise and because of the cold weather frail people are more likely to die. Winter is not pleasant, and Christmas is a much-needed distraction from all that gloom. It works better for some people than for others.

It's a wash for me.

I love spending time with family and having a nice dinner together, I hate that my wife takes the opportunity to spend even more money than usual.

Yep, a wash!
