Internet chatroom romantics beware: your next chat may be with a clinical computer, not a passionate person, trying to win your personal data and not your heart, an online security firm says.

A Russian website .. is advertising a software tool that, it says, can simulate flirtatious chatroom exchanges. It boasts that it can chat up as many as 10 women at the same time and persuade them to hand over phone numbers.

I know some of my friends that can do that!

---- the programme "can monitor Internet browser activity, automatically recognise and fill in the fields in the web pages, generate keystrokes and mouse clicks, and post messages, URLs, files and photos." ----

That is cool, I guess "Cost Per Click" should go down after about 2 month of release and beeing decompiled?

I remember the time when we used to "chat to Jeeves." That was fun. Anyone remember that?

I remember this classic, courtesy of SatireWire, from a few years back:

That's it - what fun that was.

Sometimes when I am lonely in my office I chat it up with Alice.

It is funny to try to mess it up.

I have a mod for ALICE on my forum, you can set it off on keywords and limit what forums it will post in. I installed it because I was going to use it for a FAQ kind of thing but I never got around to customizing the responses. Suprisingly if you "talk" to it like you would a normal person instead of trying to test if its a bot the conversation can be pretty normal.

Coal That's cool... I am going to look at doing something like that.
