David Beckham mania has hit new heights Down Under - with fans shelling out hundreds of pounds for food he left in a Nandos chicken restaurant.

The football legend's half-empty Coke bottle has already fetched bids of 4,000 New Zealand dollars (around £1,538) on an internet auction site.

Beckham's half-eaten corn on the cob is under the hammer at £31.

And a single chip, apparently dropped by Becks as he toured the town with pals, is selling for nearly £2.

I am considering offering up a nicely printed copy of an 'send this to nine people' type email that was personally sent to me by someone who once worked with someone who married someone who had once dated a famous actress who appeared in the movie 'True Lies' with the Governor of California.

This is a true story. Any takers? ;)

I think David still has the coke bottle, he was pictured in the Sun the other day in what is nowadays termed a homo-erotic pose (for men's lingerie) with something that could well be a coke bottle stuffed down his underpants.
