Lets figure its takes 6 minutes to read and reply to an average post.
Take someone who has a record of 1,000 post, At 6 minutes a post he has spent
a total time of 6,000 minutes or a hourly sum of 100 hours.
Where am I headed with all this, I have no idea! Like I said its just an idle thought.

If things are a bit slow, I might trawl the "recent posts" page, and see if there is anything I can contribute, and I will occasionally ask a question [webmasterworld.com] that could use answering.
Short answer: It depends, but I don't spend inordinate amounts of time in any Internet community these days.
.. time do we waste talking in Foo
I resemble that remark!
There is much to be learned in the Foo forum. For example, I recently learned that Google had a logo in honor of Veterans Day. My education came a day late, and I never saw the logo, but I have something to look forward to for next year. Thanks FOO!, couldn't do it without you.

I use Google for searching, so I noticed. But that isn't something I'd care to learn, more something that's nice to notice pop up.
Actually I just looked through the Foo threads, I can't say there's anything in there worth learning, apart that web mastering is evidently a good trade to be in - as we all have so much time to spend on Foo!
or has it been completely neutered?...KF
