Two SIM cards

...bit of a silly question really

HI

I'm curious to know if it's possible to 'clone' a mobile phone SIM and have two cards with the same number.

The reason is that I have an O2 mobile that I use constantly for the Internet while on the move (or stuck in Bangkok traffic). The problem with the O2 is that the sound quality is really bad so I'm considering buying a second (cheap) phone just to use for calls. I'd prefer to have the one telephone number.

All the best

Mick

You can copy your sim card to another with a sim card copier but you cant have them both on at the same time.

As far as I know they only copy the contacts, not the SIM information.

Having the same SIM ID# would be very difficult and a lot of the time not worth it, plus the carrier would most likely look at it as cloning.

Your best bet is to just swap the card between the two.

You could probably get a second SIM card and redirect your voice calls from that number to the new one. Not a complete solution, but it does do one of the things you want to do.
