Just got some new speakers for my computer and the first time my iPhone communicated with the tower I almost crapped myself. I was enjoying my jams when all of a sudden this terrible loud buzzing started. I switched from a CDMA company to get the iPhone and I'd never experienced this before so it really startled me!

This loud buzzing sound doesn't happen in my car or on my home speakers... just the computer speakers.

This might get removed, but I'm posting a URL to the exact speakers that I have. The reason I post it is to ask any of the uber-smart electronic people here what I might be able to do to shield whatever is picking up this buzz. Hopefully someone will be able to help since I showed the exact components in use.

I'm neither endorsing or dissing them, just looking for help:

I've seen sites talking about wrapping things with aluminum foil to shield it, but I'm not sure where to start. Maybe the volume control thing? I assume the amp and all is built in to the sub case... would that be picking up the noise?

Another question... do wires pick up interference, or is it an actual electrical component?

You could wrap your head in aluminum foil, then tuck the phone under the foil, see if that works.

You can increase the probability of this working by also wearing a shirt that says 'Google is collecting my personal data'. ;)

ok so I guess the foil thing is not a viable test... :)
