billprab, do searches for:

dolphin species
shark species
whale species

Either you do the searching yourself, or someone here will have to do it for you. Who shall it be, you doing it yourself or one of us doing the searches for you?

Here's a good starting place, ODP Editors have done a lot of work for people to find things in categories:

[dmoz.org...]

[dmoz.org...]

Start reading; enjoy!

Well i tried this already from today morning.

So go to the different websites and do RESEARCH. That's what we all have to do. Did you visit the sites in ODP? Do you mean to say you couldn't find anything about whale species with this search?

[google.com...]

Start looking at all the sites, which is exactly what we would do. We are not going to do your work for you.

give them names based on function or just a random set of animals or make something up. It doesn't really matter. If you have to worry about corporate names then just give them names based on their function and that's that.

you also might want to figure out if the names are already taken, I know a bunch of products that have names exactly the same as you are suggesting.

Alright now our management decided to name in a way it ends as star.

Like Megastar series
Macrostar series
Speedstar series

Could u suggest anything! :-)

Easy! Take amphibianadventure.com (and adventures also) and do a subdirectory or subdomain on each of those amphibian families and further subdivide into 2nd level subs or pages. That way there's a logical site structure and a place for each; it's also easy to add more as you find them.

@ lawman: you never forget, and I'll never live that down! BTW, I can still find that original thread here; I think it's the first one I ever posted in here at WebmasterWorld, long, long ago.

What's wrong with your own example?

Blue whale?
Shark?
Dolphin?

Are you seriously asking us to name animals for you? Why don't we include birds, fish, reptiles and invertabrates too?

Try these names:

Tigrrowder: Tig-row-der (Tiger, sparrow, spider)
Camzaruffede: Cam-zar-uff-ede (Camel, lizard, pufferfish, millipede)
Giruckko: Gir-uck-ko (Giraffe, duck, geko)
Mammeasaurpus: Mamm-ea-saur-pus (Mammoth, eagle, your choice of dinosaur, octopus)

If anyone else wants to use them I promise I won't claim ownership. Maybe I should register the domains before someone else does?

mamasaurus.com - that would be a very good domain name for a parenting site.

No, it is a good name for a parenting site. Connecting mums in the community apparently.

Shucks, I thought it was an original thought. Oh well then, how about tyrantasaurus.com for overbearing wives and mothers.

Hey Marcia,

You made that post five days after you first joined seven years ago! I am impressed. More impressed that you found it. So, do you feel like an old, err, older, forum member? ;)

Thanks, Marcia. And wow, what a different world back then. I can't believe both RC and Mackin used the word "sparkle."

Do I understand correctly - you are looking for names to put on products that your company will be making and/or marketing?

Just add star to your original 3:
Blue whale star
Shark star
Dolphin star

Or use the other 3 you suggested:
Megastar
Macrostar
Speedstar

Or, my personal favorite with "star":
Death Star
