Do you do anything unique on your birthdays?

Plan anything, clean up small messes, write letters, get more links, . . .

Mid october (my birthday) is basically the begining of my new calendar. I write a few personal letters, clean up small messes, revise financial conditions, throw out unwanted documents or books collected over the year and more importantly set new targets, but still being open to new unexpected more important opportunities, thereby helping me achieve at least some of my own highest priorities over the year.

When do you stop and say, 'oh I have so much small messes in my life, I got to clean them up now'? Do you have your own calendar?

Ok, at least wish me a happy birthday :)

Do I do anything unique? Nope. Actually, this year was the first in a long time that I didn't get downright depressed. Blue, cranky, leave me alone kind of depressed. I was so ready for that cake! ;)

In regards to the second part of your query.

On my birthday I get a bottle of Jack Daniels, sit in a dim room and

contemplate my misspent youth. I emerge slightly hung over and ready to

tackle the world again (at least for the next 12 months)

As the old German saying goes " Too soon we get too old,...too late, smart!"
