Recently I was looking at a local government page describing a new roads construction project (changing a traditional stoplight intersection to a roundabout). The end result is going to create a death trap for bicyclists (besides a 4-way intersection, it's also going to be enlarged to include the on/off-ramps to the freeway; there is no way to avoid this intesection by bicycle, which is at a chokepoint between the main residential area and some popular biking roads).

So I clicked on the feedback link and wrote my displeasure. Two days later I receive a response where the writer basically said the he has no idea which project I'm talking about.

Of course, the message he sent me included the referring link to the feedback form, which was the page describing the project!

I don't cycle on roads at all. It's no fun. Besides, I live between Birmingham and Wolverhampton in the UK, any road there is a death trap!

Go find yourself a nice quiet country park. Take in the fresh air and scenery!
