I was just wondering if people at webmasterworld ever bother to click on any ads or google adsense?

The last time I clicked was . . . I don't know, many many months back (safe to put it that way)

Do you click on ads?

Never on any Adsense ad.
Sometimes in some other ads.

Most times I take the URL and type or copy it on the browser.

well i am both a webmaster and an online shopper.

i try and buy as much as i can online, so i often find myself clicking ads either in the google (or other) search results, i also click ads on sites. when searching for a specific product i often find the ads extremely well targeted and i am a buyer - so whats wrong with clicking the ads and buying the product ... that's why people advertise!

as an aside, i'm astonished at the number of companies that have rubbish landing pages or indeed direct me to their homepage therefore having to make me search through their site to find the product i originaly searched for, why, oh why, don't they send me straight to the correct page - these people have usually wasted their money as i will hit back and click the next ad which hopefully takes me straight to the product i want, which i will then buy.

I prefer organic results much more than the non-organic ones. It is a personal preference, and trust as the organic result shows the company has been there for sometime.

I seldom click on Adsense sites, I do click on ads in Google search. But to some extent it depends. If the site just has 2-3 Adsense ads, I presume that is not the main purpose of the site. But when I see 10-50 ads, I will never click.

I see far too many MFA sites out there, so I won't support it by clicking on any of the ads appearing there. We won't usually link to any site that carries Adsense either.

Yes, I click on ads. I was buying computers, I clicked on computer ads, for example. I also find that the ads give better info on the search engines than the "organic" results, especially on some topics such as minor medical conditions or for information on animal care or gardening.

But, like most everyone else, I have developed my favorite and trusted sources. For example, when I have website development questions, I first search on WW.

almost the same as Green_Grass, but with one twist.

I will only click on ads that are in main SEPR, and only on thouse that lead to ARBI site, you know like BestWidgetSale-Direcroy.BestArticles-4Info.BLAH

Similar to others, I'll click on ads in the SERPs but don't recall ever clicking on an ad from the Content Network.

If I'm looking for info, I always use organic results. If I'm buying something, I'll usually start with Sponsored Links. I figure that if they're paying to be there, it's gotta be relevant.

Likewise, but I am often disappointed. Many people who should be using Adsense aren't.
