One is SATA, the other is IDE

The SATA hard drive has my OS on it... and the IDE hard drive has old info on it that I want to keep. Currently the old hard drive has pins on SL and CS connected. When I boot up the computer in my computer only the SATA hard drive is present. I go to computer management and disk management and still only C:\ drive is present. However, in my device manager it shows the IDE hard drive (just no where else). What can I do to make the second hard drive accessible? Thanks.

I doubt it can be SLAVE and CABLE SELECT at once - since it's the only IDE drive, take off both jumpers and try it - if that doesn't work, jumper it as MASTER.
