Thought this would be fun
I have always been interested in the different personalities and wondered what type of personality would be descriptive of the general population of webmasters.

Here is the game....Which one or combination of the below personalities are you? :
::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::
Driver/Choleric - (Like a Lion)
- Born Leader
- Goal Oriented / Get's the job done
- My Way or the Highway
- Speaks to the point...sometimes comes across as rude.
- Quick Tempered -Quick decision maker...is usually right.

Analytical ( Like a Giraffe)
- Details and Statistics, can organize anything.
- Dislikes too much visible emotion, but are sensitive at heart.
- Likes to have all ducks in a row...neatly :)
- Gets upset or confused with disorder.
- Slow to make decisions until having all the facts.

Amiable (Like a Golden Retriever)
- Loyal and true
- Layed back, gets along with everyone.
- Difficulty getting motivated to set goals
- Dry sense of humor
- Non offensive, let's other people take the lead
- Usually defined as a "Good Guy" or "Nice Girl"
- Slow decision maker - doesn't want to hurt anyones feelings.

Expressive (Like a Monkey)
- Talks often, fast and sometimes too much.
- Easily excited - fun to be with, good sense of humor.
- Motivates others to action
- Makes friends easily & can naturally work a room
- Talks with hands, lots of facial expression, laughs often and touches people when talking.
- Difficulty sitting still, tends to be forgetful of facts.
- Can be emotional
- Quick decision maker - usually made on an emotion feeling or gut feeling.
:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::

Okay, after reading the above descriptions, can you find yourself?

I'll start:

I'm a Driver/Expressive or Expressive/Driver depending on the day and situation.

How about you?

I think you forgot:
Whiney (like a crab)
- Complains often
- Easily annoyed
- Often obnoxious
- Forces people to do the work just to get him to shut up
- Can't make a decision because he sees all the choices as screwed up
=============

As for myself, I'm usually the Amiable type, with bouts of Choleric. For the decision making part, I can make a decision quickly if I feel comfortable with all the information, but will be slow if I don't or if I don't like any of the options.

As an "Analytical", I find myself agreeing with most of your description of a "Driver/Choleric" except that in my view "usually right" should read "usually wrong". :)

While "Driver" is the best fit amongst the existing choices I really don't fall neatly into any of the categories. Instead I seem to take the best and worst from many categories. The result being a personality that seems to work really well for me.

Sounds like "analytical" and "choleric" are dominate traits.

Asia - Usually choleric & amiable are drastic opposites, as are expressive & analytical. Your funny reply seems quite choleric as your decision making process has an element of quick. An amiable would not make a decision in fear of possibly making the wrong one so they just procrastinate and try to forget they have a decision to make. I should have said "non-confrontational" for amiable...just remembered that. BUT, I have heard we all have a little bit of everything so you're good to go!

Harry M. - Ah yes, "usually right" should have read "usually THINKS their right" :)

King Fish - The stubborn can be either a Driver tendency or an Amiable tendency. One is louder about it than the other ;)

Sarah - Your good!...drivers also have a hard time sitting still because they are generally in a hurry and they work on having patience(my life story).

Just a Side Note: A significant other usually has one personality style that is the same as yours, and one that is opposite.

Example:
Driver/Expressive chooses an Amiable/Expressive.

I don't think I fit under any of that?

- Goal Oriented / Get's the job done
- Speaks to the point...sometimes comes across as rude.
- Likes to have all ducks in a row...neatly happy!
- Slow to make decisions until having all the facts.
- Dry sense of humor
- Layed back, gets along with everyone.
- Makes friends easily & can naturally work a room

Im nothing and everything at the same time!

Lion all the way, except for one giraffe characteristic (Dislikes too much visible emotion, but are sensitive at heart) and one golden retriever (Loyal and true). I should add that these two characteristics have somewhat tempered my "Speak to the point" and "My way or the highway" tendencies! ;)

I think there is a category that has been overlooked:

Super Driver/self-driven - (Like a Blair)
- Born Leader
- charismatic
- very high political and inter-personal skills
- absolute self-belief - ignores facts which do not support his/her goals
- sees everything in black and white
- craves the limelight - like a moth to the flame
- has no time for non-leadership skills - computer illiterate
- rarely finishes the task - driven to find something else to lead
- poor manager - leaves others to clear up the mess
- highly dangerous - but lemmings willingly follow him over the cliff
