At least in Central Europe. If it's not raining, it's overcast. I love it. Tons of work to do right now, and if the weather was nice the temptation to go out and enjoy it would be too much...

Yeah, but it makes the grass grow then you have to mow it.

Grass? What grass? (Ah, the joys of apartment living)

I also {heart} the rain.
I {heart} fishing on those steady rain days. Nothing better than sitting on a boat in the rain, with rain gear on, catching walleye.
Ofcourse, not when thunderstorms are in the area.

Ditto in Ireland. Rain, rain, rain, grey clouds and cold - that has been this summer. I suppose it's the price we pay for all this green, but I'm well sick of it.

I am thoroughly sick of it too! What happened to summer? I want a refund!
Ordinarily I would agree that occasional rain is nice (necessary even!) but this incessant rubbish weather is really beginning to get me down.

The UK is getting crappy weather right now but we seem to be escaping the worst fof it here in the West of Scotland. The forecast for all of this week has be showers but they have not really arrived and the weather has been pretty good. Yesterday I took my grandsons for a sail on Loch Lomond and it was beautiful.

I live in Texas and let me just say I'm SICK of rain. June was the second wettest month in the history of the state. Massive flooding everywhere.
Did I mention the 4 kids who've been stuck inside most of the summer so far? Yeah...that's been a blast while I try and work. ;)

Are you praying for the rain in California, so the grapes can grow and you can make more wine?

No- praying for some rain so we can avoid what some experts are predicting to be one of the worst fire seasons in history.

Every time I am in Europe/UK it rains. Last trip: England it rained, France it rained, Scotland it rained, Ireland it rained. Did you lay this on for a visitor from California? By the way how come I never see anyone from Ireland on the Forum? Or did I just miss them? KF

I'm from Ireland.
And no, we don't keep the rain for visitors. It's getting to the point this summer that I'm forgetting what a sunny day is like. I do feel sorry for visitors peering into the mist and cloud while someone tells them "there'd be a great view over there if you could see it"

We went from a complete drought and emergency water conditions in Central Texas to flooding in the span of about two weeks. We've had so much rain recently that everything is starting to sprout mold. Yuck!
