I have often wondered which thread had the most replying

post ever? Number of posts and subject matter.

also;

Which member has the highest amount of individual posts?

I'm thinking Brett is in the lead with around 20,200 posts - of course this is his forum.

The person I think is a fantastic asset is Jim Morgan with around 13,700 extremely helpful posts.

They both average around 7 posts a day, but in only 197 more years Jim will surpass Brett! At that point Jim will have around 543,000 posts!

I would bet that the thread with the most replies is one of those old

"The google dance has begun." threads.

With lots of
- I see it, too.
- Big changes on "66.xx.xx.xx"
- Oh my god if this changes persist I am gonna throw myself out of the window.
- Oh my god if this changes persist I'll be rich.
- My site dropped out completly.
- My site is in again.

Ah that where the times when this would happen every one or two month.

We used to split threads when they would hit 500messages. We do it now at about 700-800.

The largest ever would probably be the Florid update saga that hit over 10k messages.

as for my post count, I was due to roll it back again, but mods told me not to do it any more. I used to roll it back to 1k or 2k every so often. My actual post count - including mods, would be closer to 6 figers than 5. (hey, we been doing this for 10 years here... The old searchengineworld forums started on my ISP in 1997). I am digging through old hard drives to try to determine the exact date - so that we can do a 10year thing (if it isn't too late).
