Pulling up in their cul-de-sac on Tuesday morning, they discovered that their house had been wrecked by gangs of teenagers after their 18-year-old daughter posted an all-welcome invitation to a "Let's trash the average family-sized house disco party" on the MySpace website.

Well, I have 10 more years to prepare before my daughter turns 18...

On a lighter note sounds like a fun party...

It all sounds horrible to me! All of the details are in the news report...

It is so bad that the family has had to move out to rented accomodation while their house is professionally cleaned. It doesn't sound like the daughter is welcome back either!

LOL - that's the funniest news story I've read in a while!

I particularly like this bit:

"she has so much remorse we heard that she was out again the next night"

I was out of town. Sorry I missed the party!

Rachel has broken my trust and I don't think I want her back.

Enough of this new-age, soft-backboned child rearing! "You think?" This is the problem with our society: No consequences! Why isn't she in jail already? :-(

Bah.

Rachel knows how to throw a great party!

Everybody sing along:

My house is out of the ordinary,
That's right, Don't want to hurt nobody,
Some things sure can sweep me off my feet,
Burning down the house.

Oh so samey samey!

When are these children going to realise that their parents (old folks like me) did almost the same when they were young?

Controversial would have been to hold the party, have a great time, AND leave no trace!

dyed Fred Perry clothes belonging to her brother because they "didn't like charvas" (north-east dialect for chavs).

Okay guys, what the heck would be New Yorkese dialect for "chavs"?

Well if we were allowed to post URLs it would be easy to explain. ;)

That is nothing.

Way back in the 70's a guy down the street from me had a HUGE house party when his parents went away for the weekend. $50 000 in damage! That was in '78 dollars. 300 kids in the house and the cops had to set up road blocks to stop more people from getting to the place.

<i had a good time and did not wreck a thing>
