who says they don't have a sense of humor at the Plex?

Go to maps.google.com, click the "Get directions" link, then ask for driving directions from New York to London. Pay particular attention to step 23. :)

Hehe, swim all the way across the Atlantic? No, thanks. Maybe in my next life.

Hmmm... If you've done the Atlantic, wouldn't it just be easier to swim the Channel and then backstroke your way up the Thames? That drops a rough two-thirds of the directions and saves one from having to understand French.

"Droite ou gauche? Huh?"

As for their sense of humour, I personally think they have too much of one...

balam,

But if you go that route, you have to deal with the whale traffic: [news.bbc.co.uk...]

> whale traffic

Hahaha! But there's nothing saying the whale wasn't actually following Google's directions and making the New York/London journey itself. After all, it is well-suited for crossing The Pond (and both locations are within its range - New York arguably so).

I feel like I missed an exciting hitch-hiking adventure...

On a serious note for a moment, the rescue attempt failed [news.bbc.co.uk].

I think you may be right about the whale following Google's directions.

The current version of the directions circumvents the all water route. Apparently, it was a concession between Google and the lawyers representing the whale's surviving family members.

If you can swim 3,462 miles in anything under 30 days, I won't just eat my shoes, I'll eat the whole Webmasterworld communities worn out shoes collection!

Sorry, WW doesn't allow links to nekidness (or is it "nekiditity"?)

Sorry, WW doesn't allow links to nekidness (or is it "nekiditity"?)

isn't there a "t" missing?
"nekiditity" would imply frontal nekidness.
otherwise it would be "nekidnass"...
