In excited anticipation of this year's boatrace, I noticed that Oxford outgoogles Cambridge 114,000,000 to 105,000,000 hits.

Nonetheless, I'll raise my flag for Cambridge!

Shouldn't outgoogles be hyphenated? ;)

It amazes me how Oxford and Cambridge always get to the final...

A deadly dull 'tradition' in need of mothballing... yawn...

Perhaps if there were a few man-eating sharks involved - or motor boats with torpedo's and rocket launchers - or if the public could hurtle down boulders from above as the two crews rowed under London's bridges. Grappling hooks could be good...

Maybe a one use, ten second rocket engine stuck on the back of each boat?

I was a student in Cambridge in the Early 90's and understand as only someone whose been there can, how seriously they take rowing as a whole in Cambridge.

You know I can get on with most people, even CUCA members, but I really couldnt abide boaties and their drinking habits, mainly in the Maypole, if my memory serves me correctly.

They were the sort of people that could deafen a dog at a hundred paces.

I recall an uproar at the time as they objected, to a man, about the placement of a homeless hostel due to the fact it was to near to their boat sheds.
