Roasted & salted pumpkin seed kernels.

Don't know why I gave 'em up. Probably because once you start it's hard to quit. :)

There's nothing like good healthy food.

I've re-discovered V-8, or the generic equivalent. Frankly, Dr. Pepper has lost it's appeal.

Don't those pumpkin seeds have to be shelled first, ala pistachios. I've almost quit eating anything that requires more than a knife and fork.

seed kernels
OK, nevermind :)

I've had a craving for Cockles (a Great British snack) for about 12 months! You can't get them here in Florida, I doubt anywhere in the USA.

Seaside holidays as a kid always had plenty of cockles to munch on (very healty snack).......now very difficult to obtain :(

Cockles you say?

[farawayfoods.com...] They ship from California.

Might be out of luck if you're craving jellied eels though...

I know what you mean with the seeds, but they are just so annoying to open. I tend to give up and start chewing them intact and spitting out the whole fibrous mess after a while.

Sure, as long as it's served with a nice single malt, neeps and tatties.

Single malt, haggis, neeps and tatties as a snack food? Probably stretching it a wee bit. :)

Hmm, that wouldn't have anything to do with the salt, would it? :-)

I usually have a jar nearby of various (unsalted) seeds mixed with dried fruits - a healthy combination. Sunflower seeds are particularly noted for their ability to help reduce cholesterol.
