(Real) Rock has suffered a serious blow today with the death of Bradlet Delp from Boston.

Been hearing a lot about his death, but am I the only one here who doesn't recall his name?

delp had incredible pipes for the job.
boston was not a very prolific band.
the first album (in 1976) was a phenomenon.
if you were lsitening to music at this time you couldn't escape his voice.
the guitarist (tom sholz) was a perfectionist and it took 2 years for the 2nd album and 8 more for the 3rd.
delp spent the next 15 years or so years in relative obscurity.

sholz got most of the attention and actually developed several recording technologies.
