ABC Television - Series Generation so Easy, Even a Caveman Could Do It

ABC is looking to an unlikely place to find the next big television show: Geico TV commercials.

Yes, the net is developing a half-hour comedy based on the cavemen characters from the popular insurance ads. The show would revolve around three pre-historic men who must battle prejudice as they live their day-to-day lives in modern Atlanta. Who smells Emmy?

The Geico spots feature cavemen pissed off over Geico's slogan for its website: "So easy, a caveman can do it." At least they didn't try and make a show out of that stupid gecko, although that's probably next.

If the show could actually influence prejudicial behaviour that would be great. Unfortunately, a lot of prejudice is learned at home, at an early age, and is reinforced through interpersonal relationships. So a 1/2 hour TV segment every week isn't going to address this particular issue very effectively.

I wish them luck just the same. This world needs all the help it can get.

Oh, and I'm really beginning to look a lot like those cavemen. I wonder if I could pass an audition...

LMAO....You've never seen European commericials I assume?

As a Brit living in Florida I miss two things......good beer and TV commericals that amuse me!

USA TV Commercials are incredibly boring!

Give the Gekko a baseball bat and let him beat the Countrywide mortgage guy around the head with it....now that would be funny!

Geico do produce the best commercials in the USA.....but, still lousy compared to the rest of the world!
