One of my clients is a florist, and they supply wedding flowers. This is part of the copy they have supplied me for the website:

...[we] will help you choose the right flowers to reflect both you and your partners' personality

This may only appeal to pedants, but it made me smile :-)

I don't get it...I know now I am sounding stupid but is there something with that copy that is not right? Help me understand please!

partners' suggests a plural - more than one partner, rather than correct partner's.

Oh...I see...you were right....it does only appeal to pedants's sense of humour!

>>partners' suggests a plural

It should be plural either way, unless their personalities are one. But partners' is either funny or a reflection of their market. :)

BTW, is you correct?

Either way, they shouldn't be driving.

Shouldn't that be shouldn't?

And I don't see what the japanese art of paper folding has to do with it...
