Anybody got at least the smallest bit of info?

The software I have used just recovers deleted files not stuff that has been formatted in the past.

Should be able to google for data recovery software. Some allow you to try out the software before buying. Should show you what files it can recover. Of course if you want the actual data recovery, you'll have to lay out the money.

After I did the money and try 2 different titles I could not get it to recover the folders from any past format. I was really looking for some body with past experience on this.

You're not still using that computer for anything, are you? The more you use it, the less you'll be able to recover. Sorry I don't have anything more valuable than that to say...

If the drive's been reformatted it's very unlikely you'll be able to recover full files at one shot. If the data is still there you should be able to find a disk editor or disk explorer utility that has tools to help you manually rebuild the files. I'll sticky you one that I've used.

Hi to you all,
I had the exactly same problem and a friend suggested using File Scavenger [quetek.com]. It did the trick and now I have my precius data...
Hope I helped.

Did you try looking for cached pages on the search engines? They wouldn't contain images but you might recover some of the text content and coding. I assume you've already tried that, but I don't see it specifically mentioned.

Yes, I saw mention of the wayback machine but I haven't seen the search engine caches mentioned - have you tried the Google cache, MSN cache, Yahoo cache, etc.?
