I hate to admit it, but I have clicked on those dumb eBay ads on Google. It's like, "Oh, yeah, I should check this on eBay, too."

Yes, advertising works.

weeks, step back from the mouse! ;)

Those ads annoy me and I never click on them.

This is the bit that got me..

There is more traded on eBay UK per head of population - about £50 a year each - than anywhere else, including the USA.

The British - a nation of shopkeepers. Not only do we like to keep shop, but, as customers, we love our car boot sales, bric-a-brac and junk shops, and are always in search of a bargain. Know what I mean Del Boy?

engine, are you more or less annoyed by the ads knowing that they work for eBay?

This is one of those real world stats that comes from the web that should provide some insight into a culture or society, but could easily be read the wrong way. It might mean nothing. But, the last two items I got off of eBay came from individuals in the UK.
