I would say it's a fair estimate. We all need to wake up and smell the coffee. The citizens of the U.S. should go back to the new-frontier way of thinking and realize the new frontier we are now faced with is possibly the destruction of our planet. Now how should we go about conquering this and joining forces with other nations to stop it? It's the million dollar question that starts with individuals thinking through what they stand for and the possible ramifications of their beliefs and actions.

Personally, I don't think destruction is necessarily inevitable or immediate, but we really don't have time to dilly-dally around the question any longer. Our country's citizens are far too complacent and co-dependent on the government to give us solutions. Case in point - Hurricane Katrina. Wal-Mart responded more quickly than our government to that disaster. Our bureaucratic federal government has become a monster without the arms to do anything.

It was placed 5 minutes to midnight for global warming concerns.

From what I have seen in the Canadian Arctic, I believe the feed back loops have already started, and its basically to late to stop climate change.

Money should be set aside by Governments, for mass relocation of people in the next 50-100 years. Its alot easier to save money for future major expenditures, when you start in advance.
