Not that I have anything against Tyra Banks, but I suspect I would have gotten more visitors if it was Cramer's Mad Money.

I cover personal finance topics and I'm not sure anyone takes her too seriously when it comes to that particular subject. She's more like eye candy (a lot more) when compared to a guy like Cramer. If he plugged my site I would have been flooded with visitors.

Anyone else have that happen to them? Nice to get some free advertising, only the wrong person doing the ad?

Hey , it’s free advertising! (congrats)
IMO, Cramer is an ….well, let me put it this way, I would not buy any securities on his recommendation, as he has terrible record.

Basic communications theory says that people remember the information, but do not recall the source. This is why advertising and propaganda works as well as it does. So, just about any mention is good--even one that says, "This web site is awful." And, no, I'm not kidding.

I have only seen Cramer a couple of times when I was home sick. It amuses me when thoughtful, careful observers of the economy and the stock market will, by accident, reveal they watch the show. He is one of a kind. And, from what I read, while he's a wild man on camera, what he says is often right. But, sheeee, what are their meetings like at that show?

If you're asking if Tyra sent people to good information, the answer is yes. The information they used involved an article that I wrote where I used some of my problem solving skills to pull together (from various sources) - to the best of my knowledge, it's the only source of this information out there... So yeah, it was a good thing.

Not saying I was wonderful at all. Just that the information is unique - took me a while to figure it out instead of the normal repeating of information found elsewhere that happens quite a bit on the web.

My comment was geared towards anyone interested in that kind of information probably found exactly what they were looking for if they visited my site.

The thing about Jim Cramers stock recomendations is you have to get out quickly. He will tell you that you are only going to make a few to several percent. I suspect most people get greedy and stay in too long.

His recomendations are not "buy and hold".

He is entertaining and he is an internet pioneer.
