A man caught on camera stealing a urinal from a pub has been flushed out after reports of his antics attracted global attention, detectives said on Tuesday.

The 42-year-old man carefully removed the toilet from the bathrooms of the Royal Oak Pub in Southampton, stuffed it into a rucksack and walked out.

It seems there was CCTV in the toilets! Really, that's crazy.

Interesting that in England, the police has the power of letting somebody off that commits a crime with a caution.

I see it all the time on Coronation Street (here in Canada), never thought it happens in real life however.

Outside the toilets actually - China Daily has the images of him leaving the toilet with his (urinal-filled) rucksack.

Apparently he did a very professional plumbing job, so they figure he was stealing parts to order (although I'm not sure a pub toilet would fetch that much cash!).
